Three-Way Call for Proposals for Collaborative R&D projects – 2010

This Canada-China-Israel Call for Proposals (CFP) for collaborative research and development (R&D) projects in Agri-innovation will be funded by International Science and Technology Partnerships Canada (ISTPCanada) for Canadian participants, the Canada-Israel Industrial R&D Foundation (CIIRDF) for Israeli and Canadian participants, and Yangling Agriculture Hi-Tech Demonstration Zone for Chinese participants.
This CFP is open to R&D teams consisting of participants from Canada, China and Israel with the following minimum requirements:
a) The proposed R&D project must include participants from Canada, China, and Israel.
b) The participant from each country must be from Industry.
c) The project should be innovative and lead to a new product or process with clear commercial potential.
d) The partners should agree in advance on the IP rights and on the commercialization strategy of the product or service.
e) The application can be strengthened by the participation of academic and institutional researchers and by including young researcher exchanges as a component of the R&D program as subcontractors
f) The maximum duration of the project is 3 years.
g) The project plan and budget must show symmetry in effort and/or investment among teams from the three countries.
The resulting technologies/products/processes/solutions will be given the opportunity of being first demonstrated in the Yangling International Cooperation Park.
